Addressable LED Controller
This is the easiest way to connect addressable LEDs to your system. No soldering required, just connect a 5V power supply and you can directly connect your addressable LEDs right to the board. Power and signals are sent through the board to the LED Strips.
The controller comes pre-loaded with the addressable LED firmware for DOF compatibility. All you need to do is supply a cabinet file and you can start enjoying addressable LED effects on your system.
I have developed firmware for the WEMOS S2 Mini controller which is 3x faster than the original WEMOS D1 that is normally used. This allows for smooth operation even with thousands of LEDs and one board can run 3 HD matrix boards as well as the side LED strips all at the same time! The D1 Mini will run a normal LED Matrix just fine, so there is no noticeable difference in the framerate until you have an HD Matrix.
Instructions for configuring the addressable controller can be found here
For some nice looking LED strips in your cab, you can purchase the following:
My LED HD Matrix boards sold here (typically 4 or 6 of them)
2x for left and right side rails: 3.2 ft, 144 LED Strip
1x power supply: Power Supply
Extenders to make wiring super easy: Addressable LED Extenders
